Child Care
Improving the lives of vulnerable children
Child Care
Our Reality: The Problem
Social conflicts, poverty, HIV/AIDS, and many other issues affecting Uganda have led to high mortality rates among children. Many surviving children from vulnerable families face a bleak future. In communities ravaged by the HIV/AIDS pandemic, most children are orphaned with no one to turn to. Many others are born into families in abject poverty without the means and hope to provide for the children. In such conditions, children go hungry and malnourished. Education becomes a luxury, as parents and guardians can't afford to send children to school, leading to dropouts forced into the streets or work to share the burden of supporting the family. Children born into such circumstances struggle to break free, often repeating the same mistakes as their parents, perpetuating the cycle of poverty.
What We Are Doing About It
We work to bring hope and improve the lives of vulnerable children in Uganda who have been denied their rights and welfare.
Health
We provide children in vulnerable communities access to quality medical care, clean water, and essential health care services to prevent death from preventable diseases.
Home Care
We relocate vulnerable children from the most deprived communities in Uganda, moving them into safe and stimulating environments conducive to a child's mental and physical well-being.
Education
We enroll vulnerable children in school because we believe education gives children a fighting chance to break out from and end the perpetual cycle of poverty in Uganda.
